The mission of EcoSpaces Education is to inspire and teach a holistic approach to education that is instrumental in developing healthy relationships between children, family, and food.

Our Vision

Healthy bodies and nourished minds make for a happy and productive school day.

Healthy bodies and nourished minds make for a happy and productive school day.

Our vision is for every child to have access to learning environments that connect food with education. We work toward a future where all schools and families prioritize food literacy by giving kids the tools to understand where food comes from, how it nourishes us, and how it shapes our relationships. This approach is our opportunity to change the health of our nation.

Why is EcoSpaces
Education Important?

We believe eating patterns are set when we are young, making EcoSpaces Education more than an opportunity to feed kids healthy meals; it’s an opportunity to shape how kids and grownups will eat in the future by prioritizing a comprehensive, holistic approach to healthy relationships with food.

About_Sidebar-Image2_616x428

We invested in a kitchen that can provide healthy meals to all of our students.

“Teaching children bad eating habits means creating yet another generation of Americans who will have to break those habits and given what we know about the long-term effects of those habits, it is our responsibility to be instrumental in effecting these changes.”

Our hope for our students is to build a connection between personal health and the origins of their food, while instilling a strong sense of community and an understanding of sustainability.

Our hope is for our students to build a connection between personal health and the origins of their food.

“We are not going to get children to eat healthy and be more active physically until we create an environment that fosters the highest values.”

Our goal is for all students to learn the vital relationship of food to agriculture and of food to culture in general, and how food affects the quality of our everyday lives…after all, we are what we eat!

Our Learning Environments

The Dining Room

The Dining Room is where students and staff eat as a community and where life lessons come alive.

The Garden

We integrate gardening activities with core curriculum, as well as physical and social education.

The Teaching Kitchen

The Teaching Kitchen is where hands-on activities bring classroom subjects together.

The Home

A holistic approach to learning requires bringing healthy lessons to our homes and communities.
